Even small business should consider using a call centre to help them manage incoming calls, experts advise.

Website Processing Talk notes that many start-up businesses can struggle to balance productivity with phone-use - managers cannot work if they're promoting their business, but if they're not promoting, then they can't get any work.

New business leaders have to learn how to deal with conflicting demands, especially when away from the desk and with the knowledge that not every call can be welcome and that becoming a slave to the mobile leads to inefficiency.

However, the website recommends that new businesses with even a small budget can find call centres useful.

Answerlink in Bradford is one such centre that specialises in providing back-up services for small and medium sized companies, with costs starting from 50 pence a message.

For a few pounds a month, SMEs can ensure they never miss an important call and are not disturbed by those that do not help their business.
