A new partnership aimed at helping SMEs "get online easily" has been announced today.

Microsoft and Best Buy have set up Best Buy for Business - a service aimed at supporting small business owners that are unsure how to establish an online presence for their companies without any help.

SME owners will be able to purchase subscriptions cards for Microsoft Office Live services which are designed to help businesses get on the web affordably and with ease.

The service will be available online, over the phone and at selected Best Buy locations.

Moreover, the Geek Squad 24-Hour Computer Support Task, designed to "help Microsoft Office Live customers hit the ground running", promises to be on hand to provide business-grade technology support.

Brett McCommons, district business sales manager for Best Buy For business said: "Establishing and marketing your business online is no longer considered a luxury - it's a must as consumers increasingly turn to the web to research products and services.

"By combining the simplicity and reliability of Microsoft Office Live with the expertise available through Best Buy For Business, we've made it easy for small-business owners to create, maintain and market their websites."

A discount on the Microsoft Office Live monthly subscription fee is available, which offers three months for the price of one.
