A conference and networking event to celebrate the achievements of businesswomen from across the Yorkshire region in rural enterprise will be held next month.

Organised by Women in Rural Enterprise (WiRE) the conference is being held with the intention of providing encouragement, inspiration and advice for current or potential entrepreneurs and business women in rural areas, Yorkshiretoday.co.uk reports.

Nicky Pattinson will appear on the day as a motivational speaker and will address the audience about her career which has seen her at the very bottom and the very top of the ladder, all the way to running her own company.

According to Yorkshiretoday, Ms Pattinson won £1 million worth of business as a telesales rep and transformed her life prior to launching Hiya! It's Nicky, her business opportunities consultancy.

A keynote speech will be made by guest speaker Frances O'Riley, Yorkshire Forward's enterprise development manager. In it, she will discuss the pivotal role female entrepreneurship can play in Yorkshire and how it can contribute to local economy.

The conference will take place at the Aldwark Manor Hotel in York on March 20th.
